Receta Mexicana Tamale Bake

Ingredientes
- 1 1/2 c. water
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 c. Masa Harina
- 1 med. onion, minced
- 1 (4 ounce.) can green chilies, minced
- 1 1/2 c. grated Cheddar cheese
- 1 teaspoon chili pwdr
- 1 teaspoon garlic pwdr
- 4 Large eggs, well beaten
- 2-3 c. left-over meats (chicken, beef, etc.)
Direcciones
- Masa Harina can be found in almost any store these days. It also makes wonderful home-made tortillas.
- Combine water, salt and masa in 2 qt pan. Bring to boil, stirring constantly. Add in onions, heat. Reduce heat to low and cook till it is very thick. Remove from heat. Gradually add in Large eggs, mixing well. Add in all the rest of the ingredients except 1/2 c. cheese. Mix well.
- Bake in greased 9 inch pie plate at 350 degrees for 40 min. Sprinkle remaining cheese on top, bake 2 min. Serve pie shaped wedges topped with shredded lettuce, minced tomatoes, guacamole, salsa and lowfat sour cream, if you like.
