  • Pastry for double crust pie
  • 1 pound grnd beef
  • 1/8 c. shortening
  • 3 tbsp. instant chopped onion
  • 1 1/2 c. tomato juice
  • 1 pound can mixed vegetables, liquid removed
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 3 drops warm Tabasco
  • 1/4 c. flour
  • 1/2 c. ketchup

Direcciones

  1. Brown grnd beef and onion in shortening; drain well. Stir in 1 c. of tomato juice, mixed vegetables, salt, pepper, and Tabasco sauce. Cover and simmer for 10 min. Blend 1/2 c. tomato juice, flour, and ketchup. Add in to meat mix, stirring constantly, till thick. Place in 9 inch pastry lined pie tin. Place other crust on top. Fold under bottom crust, pressing to seal. Flute edge. Bake at 400 degrees for 25 min till brown.
