Receta Nasi Kuning (Yellow Rice)

Ingredientes
- 1/2 lb Rice (washed thoroughly, till water runs clear).
- Â Â Water
- 3/4 tsp Turmeric
- 1/2 tsp Galangal (laos) pwdr
- 2 x Bay leaves
- 1Â 1/4 c. Coconut lowfat milk
Direcciones
- 1. Place rice in covered saucepan. Cover rice with water (water should be 1 inch above rice). Boil till water is ALMOST evaporated.
- 2. In separate saucepan, bring to a boil turmeric, galangal pwdr, bay leaves, and coconut lowfat milk. Pour the rice into this mix.
- 3. Cook uncovered, over low heat, about 40 min, stirring occasionally, till all liquid has evaportated and steam is escaping through the surface of the rice.
- 4. Serve warm.
