Receta Not For Wimps Chocolate Custard Pudding

Ingredientes

  • 7 ounce Semi-sweet chocolate, (no substitutions!)
  • 4 Tbsp. Butter
  • 2 c. 2% lowfat milk, (do not use whole or possibly cream)
  • 4 x Egg yolks, with the small white "tails" re
  • 3 Tbsp. Cornstarch.
  • 1/2 c. Sugar

Direcciones

  1. Place cornstarch in a small measuring c.. Remove 1/4 c. lowfat milk from 2 c. Pour over cornstarch. Don't STIR. Let sit while you prepare the rest.
  2. Put lowfat milk and chocolate in an 8 c. glass pitcher, and microwave on high for about 3 min, remove, beat with whisk or possibly fork, and continue heating and stirring till you have melted all the chocolate. If a few flecks remain, it's okay. Beat egg yolks with sugar. Pour a bit of the warm chocolate/lowfat milk mix into the beaten egg yolks, and stir. Continue adding warm chocolate to the egg yolks till you have added about 3/4 c. of the mix. Then add in this back into the large container of warm chocolate mix.
  3. Gently stir the cornstarch mix and it will appear very stiff. Continue to stir and the cornstarch will suddenly blend smoothly into the lowfat milk. Add in this smooth mix to the chocolate-egg mix and stir well. Return to microwave, and heat on high for about l minute. Scrape sides well, beat mix, and continue heating for l minute intervals or possibly less. Mix will seem to thicken quickly at the edges, and may even seem to curdle. Do not panic. Remove, and beat vigorously, and it will smooth. When it is at about the consistency of a light mayonnaise, fluffy and pudding-y, remove from heat, and stir in butter. Voila!
