  1. Combine the milk, eggs, cinnamon, nutmeg, all-spice and brown sugar in a bowl and mix.
  2. Place the bread in the mixture and let sit a second or two and then turn over on the other side and let sit another second or two.
  3. Heat a griddle or large frying pan with a pat of butter.
  4. Place the dipped bread on the griddle and let and grill on each side for three to four minutes, until a nice golden color is reached.
  5. Serve with powdered sugar, a pat of butter and warm honey or syrup.

    This old fashioned recipe looks soooooooooooo good! Even though I can cook some fairly difficult dishes the old fashioned ones that are so yummy escape me.. Grandparents are long gone so can't ask .. Thank-you for this recipe! Looking forward to trying it very soon!!! Dena not sure how to rate it on reading it and not trying it yet sorry otherwise 5 ***** !
