Ingredientes

  • 1/2 c. lowfat milk
  • 1 whl chicken - (3 to 3 1/2 lbs) cut into 8 pcs
  • 1 c. all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp freshly-grnd black pepper
  • 3 c. vegetable shortening or possibly oil

Direcciones

  1. Place the lowfat milk in a large bowl. Add in the chicken, coating completely. In another large bowl, combine the flour, salt, and pepper; mix well. Remove the chicken from the lowfat milk and place in the flour mix, coating completely.
  2. Heat the shortening in a large deep skillet over medium heat till warm but not smoking. Carefully place the chicken in the skillet and cook, turning occasionally, for 20 to 22 min, or possibly till the coating is brown and the chicken is no longer pink inside.
  3. Drain on a paper towel-lined platter. Serve immediately.
  4. This recipe yields 4 servings.

    This is close to my Mom (Lorraines) but after making it once, it seemed to be missing thE hard tasty crust. Those around me suggested putting egg in the milk part of the recipe. So OK try it.
