Receta Orange Granita
A cool and refreshing treat that's just perfect on a hot day, or after a heavy meal (think gourmet “slushy” that you eat with a spoon).

Ingredientes
- 1/2 c. plus 2 tbsp. sugar
- 1/2 c. water
- 1 1/2 c. fresh squeezed orange juice
Direcciones
- Heat the sugar and water together until the sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat; add orange juice to sugar mixture.
- Pour the mixture into a shallow container or pan (such as a 9 x 13 baking dish) and place in the freezer.
- Freeze for 2 to 3 hours, scraping through the mixture with two forks every 20 minutes or so, making certain to break up the film that forms on the surface and crush any lumps.
- The texture of a Granita should be like fluffy snow.
- Serve before the mixture freezes solid.
