Receta Pam's Creole Sauce

Ingredientes
- 1 x Chicken cut up
- 1 lrg Onion minced
- 1/2 x -(up to)
- 1 x Bell pepper minced (I do not use)
- 1 can (8-ounce) tomato sauce
- 1 x -(up to)
- 2 stalk celery cut up
- 1/2 x -(up to)
- 1 c. Okra sliced
- 1 x -(up to)
- 2 Tbsp. Brown sugar
- Â Â Oregano to taste
- 1 x Bay leaf
- 1/2 x -(up to)
- 1 tsp Chili pwdr (or possibly to taste)
- Â Â Tony Chachere's Creole Seasoning to taste
- 1/2 x -(up to)
- 1 tsp Basil (or possibly to taste)
- Â Â Red grnd pepper to taste ( I only use a tad)
- Â Â Salt and pepper to taste
- Â Â Garlic to taste (I used chopped garlic from a jar)
Direcciones
- Boil chicken till tender. Take out meat and debone. Set aside. Add in all remaining ingredients to pot and cook till done (I cook it about 30 min.)
- Then I add in chicken, shrimp, ham or possibly sausage back in pot and cook a little longer depending on the meat. If it's shrimp, I only boil 5-6 min more: If it's ham I only boil 5-6 min If it's sausage I slice and brown it in a separate pan then add in to pot and cook 5-10 min or possibly till tender.
- If it's chicken I add in and cook for a few min. Then I use corn starch and water to thicken to desired consistency and serve over rice.
