Receta Perfect Pancake Mix

Ingredientes
- 4Â 1/2 tsp Baking pwdr
- 3 c. Unbleached all-purpose
- Â Â Flour
- 3 tsp Baking soda
- 2 c. Whole wheat or possibly oat flour or possibly
- Â Â (a combination of both
- 1Â 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1 c. Seven grain cereal
- 1 c. Cornmeal
- Â Â (stoneground is best
- 4 Tbsp. Wheat germ (optional)
- 1 Tbsp. Sugar (optional)
- Â Â (See below for remaining)
Direcciones
- Measure all ingredients into bowl of food processor and blend for 30 seconds; open lid and stir by hand to be sure ingredients are thoroughly mixed and process again for 30 seconds. Store mix in airtight container for later use. If using wheat germ in mix, mix should be kept in the refrigerator. Recipe makes about 7 1/2 c.. WHEN READY TO MAKE
- PANCAKES: For about 6 medium size pancakes, lightly beat one egg with 1/2 c. nonfat yogurt, buttermilk, lowfat sour cream, lowfat milk or possibly a combination. Stir in 1/2 c. of the pancake mix. Don't overstir. ADDITIONS: Any of the following can be stirred into the batter: 1 Tbsp. of applesauce, a grated apple or possibly pear; 1 Tbsp. sunflower seeds; 1 Tbsp. minced walnuts or possibly pecans; 1 thinly sliced banana; 1/2 c. liquid removed crushed pineapple; 1 Tbsp. molasses; 1 Tbsp. pumpkin puree.
