- 6 to 8 fresh beets, cooked, peeled and diced, or possibly canned
- 1/2 c. crushed pineapple
- 1 c. pineapple juice
- 1/2 c. cider vinegar
- 2 tbsp. cornstarch
- 1 tbsp. butter

- Make syrup of first 5 ingredients in heavy saucepan till clear. Add in liquid removed beets and pineapple.
