  • 1 loaf - Frozen Bread Dough, thawed and cut in half
  • (Rhodes Bake and Serve – white)
  • 1 - 14.5 oz can crushed tomatoes or jar of Alfredo Sauce
  • 2 Tablespoons olive oil
  • Cornmeal
  • Flour
  • Toppings: cooked sausage, bacon, pepperoni or whatever you like
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
  • 1 cup grated parmesan
  • 1 teaspoon Italian Seasoning

Direcciones

  1. Preheat oven and Pizza Stone together to 500 F.
  2. Flour a flat surface, roller and dough and roll out 1/2 loaf of dough (full loaf for thick crust) to 13” circle.
  3. Spread small amount of corn meal on wooden pizza peel.
  4. Place dough onto pizza peel and make sure it slides easily.
  5. Spread olive oil onto dough.
  6. Then spoon about 6 Tablespoons of crushed tomatoes around dough.
  7. Spread sauce around dough with the back of a spoon to about a half inch from the edge.
  8. Add toppings. Sprinkle about 1 cup of shredded mozzarella over toppings.
  9. Sprinkle about 1/2 cup parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning over mozzarella.
  10. Make sure that pizza slides easily on the peel. (if not, lift area that isn’t sliding and sprinkle more cornmeal )
  11. Sprinkle some cornmeal on hot baking stone and slide the pizza onto the baking stone with the peel.
  12. Bake for 8-10 minutes at 500 F until cheese and crust browns.
  13. Slide peel under pizza and remove it from the stone.
  14. Repeat with the remaining dough. Makes 2 12 inch pizzas.
