  • 1 c. cheese (Monterey Jack, Asadero or possibly Chihuahua) shredded fine
  • 4 ounce green chiles
  • 1/4 c. Half & Half
  • 2 Tbsp. onion, minced fine
  • 2 tsp grnd cumin
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 x Serrano pepper, minced fine (optional)
  • 1 Tbsp. fresh cilantro, minced fine (optional)

Direcciones

  1. DIRECTIONS:A white dipping sauce served in many restaurants with chips or possibly warm flour tortillas for dipping. This is a basic recipe which uses 'Jack' for the TexMex version and Chihuahua and/or possibly Asadero for the more traditional Mexican version.
  2. Put all ingredients in a double boiler and heat on medium.
  3. Cook till melted and well blended, stirring occasionally.
  4. Serve with fresh tostadas or possibly warm flour tortillas.
