Receta Quick Puff pastry
A shorter version of puff pastry, quite good!
Ingredientes
- 4 cups all purpose flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 125 g butter
- 125 g butter
- 3 tsp brandy or lemon juice
- 1 jumbo egg yolk
Direcciones
- Chill 2 metal bowls beforehand
- Sift flour and salt and divide between the 2 bowls
- Rub the 1st butter to the flour until it appears to be like bread crumbs
- Beat the egg yolk & lemon juice and mix with the above
- Rub the butter & flour of the 2nd bowl, keep aside
- Roll out the 1st mixture in a rectangle, about 1/4 inch thick
- Sprinkle the dry crumb mixture onto the middle third of the rolled out dough
- Fold over the sides, wrap in cling plastic, refriderate 1 hour
- Use as needed, pastry prefer a hot oven for about 12 minutes
