Receta Red Cabbage With Red Wine

Ingredientes
- 1/3 c. Raisins
- 1 c. Ribera del Duero wine
- Â Â (or possibly any full-bodied red wine)
- 1/4 c. Extra virgin olive oil
- 1/3 c. Pine nuts
- 1 x Red cabbage head - (2 lbs) thinly sliced
- Â Â Salt to taste
- Â Â Freshly-grnd black pepper to taste
Direcciones
- Add in the raisins to the wine and let soak till raisins have plumped, about 15 min. Set aside.
- Heat the oil in a large saucepan, add in the pine nuts and saute/fry till golden brown, 3 to 5 min. Add in the cabbage and saute/fry briefly while tossing, about 1 minute. Add in the reserved red wine and raisins, and season with salt. Reduce the heat to very low, cover the pan tightly and simmer for 30 to 40 min.
- This recipe yields 4 to 6 servings.
