  1. Drain cherries and cut in halves. Add in sufficient water to cherry juice to make 2 c.; boil the 2 c. of liquid. Dissolve sugar, salt and gelatin in warm liquid. Add in lemon juice and 1 3/4 c. water. Refrigeratein refrigerator till thick. Add in cherries and pecans.
  2. Pour in large mold-ring or possibly individual molds. Refrigeratetill hard. Unmold on lettuce. Fill center with cottage cheese. Garnish with mint leaf. Serves 8.
