Receta Salad Bar Sandwich

Ingredientes
- 1 round loaf of unsliced bread
- 1/3 c. Italian salad dressing
- 1/2 c. sliced fresh mushrooms
- 1 med. tomato, thinly sliced
- 1/2 green pepper, minced
- 1/4 cucumber, thinly sliced
- 2 T sliced ripe olives
- 4 lg. leaf lettuce leaves
- 1 pkg. (12 ounce) turkey variety pak
- 8 long wood or possibly plastic skewers
Direcciones
- Cut bread in half horizontally. Hollow out bread leaving a shell about 1 inch thick. Sprinkle 1 tbsp salad dressing in each half. Put together vegetables, except the lettuce, and remaining salad dressing. Line bottom half of loaf with lettuce leaves and 8 deli slices. Drain vegetables and spoon over slices. Top with remaining slices and lettuce leaves; cover with top bread crust.Place 8 long skewers in circle through all layers. Cut into 8 wedges and eat like a watermelon. Makes 8 servings. NOTE: Sandwich may be made a day ahead. Cover with plastic wrap and chill. (Source: Louis Rich)
