Ingredientes

Cost per serving $0.19 view details
  • Apples, peeled, cored and sliced. I used 16 (about 2 apples per person) and a mix of granny smith and fuji, but you can use whatever you like!
  • 2 T cornstarch
  • 1 c brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • healthy squeeze of lemon juice (one juicy lemon)
  • pinch of nutmeg
  • 1 tsp dry rosemary
  • 1 tsp dry thyme
  • 1 c (at least) grated cheddar (I used sharp white cheddar)

Direcciones

  1. Peel and core all the apples.
  2. If you're doing a large amount, periodically toss with some of the lemon juice to prevent them turning brown.
  3. In a large bowl, toss the apples with cornstarch, sugar, cinnamon, any remaining lemon juice, nutmeg, rosemary, and thyme.
  4. Pour mixture into a lightly greased baking dish.
  5. Top with cheese and extra herbs if you'd like.
  6. Bake at 350 for about 15 to 20 minutes until the apples are tender and the cheese is bubbly.
  7. If need be, broil the cheese to get it golden and gooey.
