Ingredientes

  •     An Armenian, orange flavored, hard sweet roll!
  • 8 c. flour
  • 2 c. melted Crisco(r)
  • 6 lrg Large eggs
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 4 tsp baking pwdr
  • 1 c. hot lowfat milk
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 Tbsp. frzn concentrated orange juice
  • 1 tsp orange zest [optional]
  •     Sesame seeds
  • 1 x egg and 2 Tbsp. water, for egg wash

Direcciones

  1. O In a mixing bowl, beat the Large eggs and then combine the sugar, cinnamon, orange juice concentrate, orange zest, lowfat milk, Crisco(r) and baking pwdr.
  2. Gradually add in flour to the mix and knead into a smooth dough. Let stand to rise for 30 min in a covered bowl. Take pcs of dough the size of an apricot and roll in your hands till about 8 inches long and about the thickness of a pencil. Lay on a flat surface and circularly wrap it on itself like a pinwheel. Brush with the egg wash and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Repeat this process till the dough is finished. Place on a non-stick or possibly sprayed cookie sheet and bake in a 350 degree oven for 25-30 min or possibly till golden.
