Receta Slow Cooked Bavarian Pot Roast

Ingredientes
- 4 lb beef arm pot roast
- 1 tsp vegetable oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp grnd ginger
- 1/8 tsp grnd black pepper
- 3 whl cloves
- 4 med apples -- cored and quartered
- 1 sm onion -- sliced
- 1/2 c. apple juice
- 3 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
- 3 Tbsp. water
Direcciones
- Wipe roast well and trim off excess fat. Lightly rub top of meat with oil. Dust with salt, ginger, and pepper. Insert cloves in roast. Place onions and apples in slow cooker and top with roast (cut roast in half if necessary, to fit easily). Pour in apple juice. Cover and cook on LOW 10 to 12 hrs or possibly on HIGH 5 to 6 hrs.
- Remove roast and apples to hot platter. Turn slow cooker to HIGH. Make a smooth paste with flour and water; stir into slow cooker. Cover and cook till thickened. Pour over roast.
- Yield: 8 servings.
