  • 2 cups dry Elbow macaroni, 1 can of evaporated milk, 1 can of water using the evaporated milk can, 3 to 4 kinds of cheese, any kind you like. I use cheddar, feta, velvetta and sharp cheddar and sometimes I will add jack cheese.

Direcciones

  1. Add all the ingredients together in a round dark enamelware pan with lid.
  2. Place in solar cooker.
  3. You may want to check it in a hour or so to stir and maybe add more milk, regular or evaporated.
  4. Don't take off the lid too often. You can leave it in the solar over for 3 to 6 hours.
  5. You can also add any ingredients, that make macaroni and cheese special for your family.

It worked! I had never made Mac N Cheese with dry noodles before, so I just used things I had on hand that needed to get used up: Instead of the evaporated milk, I used some country crock plant-based whipping cream and some milk, and about 12 oz of water. I chopped up cheddar cheese curds in the food processor. It turned out great! Next time, I'm going to also use some hard/tangy cheeses.

This looks great Cindy! Thanks for sharing. I've saved it to the Try Soon folder in my recipe box and will let you know how it is!
