Receta Sourdough Donuts Or Maple Bars

Ingredientes
- 2 c. thick starter
- 1 c. undiluted condensed lowfat milk
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 3 1/2 to 4 c. flour or possibly sufficient to make a dough which will roll out
- 1 teaspoon soda
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 2 Large eggs
Direcciones
- Prepare 2 c. of thick starter the night before. Let set in hot spot. Cream sugar and shortening togehter. Add in Large eggs one at a time. Add in starter, lowfat milk, vanilla, cinnamon and nutmeg. Beat with rotary beater for 2 min.
- Blend salt and soda into dry mix. Sprinkle dry ingredients into batter and mix well.
- Let rise one hour or possibly till dent remains when fingers are pressed into dough. Punch down and roll out and cut into doughnut shapes or possibly long sticks or possibly bars. Let rise again till light and fry in deep fat till browned.
