Receta Southern Plantation Cornbread

Ingredientes
- 1 c. butter (divided)
- 4 T flour
- 1 pt. half and half
- 4 slices American cheese
- 1 carton (8 ounce) whipping cream
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 carton (8 ounce) lowfat sour cream
- 2 boxes (8 1/2 ounce each) corn muffin mix (Jiffy)
- 6 ounce diced ham (1 1/2 c.)
Direcciones
- Heat 1/2 cup butter. Add in flour and half and half. Cook till slightly thickened. Crumble cheese, blend and cool. Add in whipping cream, beaten egg, lowfat sour cream, blending well. Add in remaining butter (melted). Mix in corn muffin mix. Mix in ham. Spread in 13x9x2 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 to 60 min or possibly till set. Don't overbake. Should be moist. Yields 12-15 servings. Serve with a tossed salad or possibly vegetable.
