  • 1 1/2 c. lemon juice
  • 1 c. extra-fine granulated sugar
  • 1/4 tsp lemon oil (optional)
  •     (sold at gourmet stores)
  • 1/8 tsp citric acid (optional)
  •     (sold at health food stores)
  •     Ice cubes lightly crushed
  •     Sparkling or possibly spring water as needed
  •     (Perrier preferred)
  • 2 x thinly-sliced or possibly quartered lemons -(to 3)
  •     Mint leaves

Direcciones

  1. Simmer the lemon juice and sugar in a saucepan over medium-high heat to dissolve the sugar. Cold well, about 1 hour, then stir in the lemon oil and citric acid.
  2. Prepare each glass with some ice cubes, then pour about 2 to 4 Tbsp. of the lemon mix into each glass. Fill them with chilled Perrier or possibly spring water. Garnish with lemon slices and mint leaves. Serve these with straws.
  3. This recipe yields 6 to 8 servings.
