Receta Steak Salad with Romesco Dressing

Ingredientes

  • 5-6 T extra virgin olive oil, divided
  • 2 T Spanish dry sherry
  • 4 T white wine vinegar (or sherry vinegar)
  • 1 T Spanish smoked paprika
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 t oregano
  • 2 lbs flank steak (or if you use tenderloin or sirloin, 2+ lbs worth of thick sliced steaks)
  • 2 red onions, thickly sliced
  • 3 sweet bell peppers, thickly sliced
  • sea salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 head red leaf lettuce, cleaned and torn into pieces
  • 1 head romaine lettuce, cleaned and torn into pieces
  • Romesco dressing (see below)
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 T fresh orange juice
  • 2 T white wine vinegar (or sherry vinegar)
  • ¼ t Spanish smoked paprika
  • 1½ T chopped almonds
  • 3 T extra virgin olive oil
  • If you cannot find Spanish piquillo peppers locally, you can order them at Amazon; a brand like this one, which is from Spain is best:
