Receta Steamed Tofu, Home Style

Ingredientes
- 1 lb Block hard tofu
- 1 x Green onion (with top)
- 2 Tbsp. Oil
- 1 tsp Finely minced ginger root
- 1 Tbsp. Dark soy sauce
- 1 tsp Sesame oil
- 1/2 tsp Sugar

- Tofu, made from cooked soybeans, is used as a major nonmeat source of protein in Oriental countries.
- Cut tofu into 2x2x1/2-inch pcs. Cut green onion diagonally into 1/2-inch pcs. Place tofu on shallow heatproof platter. Place platter on rack in steamer. Cover and steam over boiling water 10 min. (Add in boiling water if necessary.) Pour off excess water from platter. Heat 8-inch skillet till warm. Add in oil and tilt skillet to coat side. Add in ginger root. Cook and stir till light brown (be careful not to burn). Stir in soy sauce, sesame oil and sugar. Pour over tofu and garnish with green onion.
