Receta Turkish Rice with Fideos
Turkish rice with fideos is a common rice recipe in Turkey. This is the type of rice my mom makes on a regular basis. The fideos give it a toasted taste which adds a lot of flavor to the rice. It is a huge favorite in comparison to regular, steamed rice.
Ingredientes
- 1 1/2 Cups of Rice- preferably long grain
- 2 Cups of Water
- 3 T. Butter
- 1/4 Cup Fideo or Vermicelli
- Salt to Taste

- *Wash the rice.
- *In a sauce pan, melt the butter.
- *Add the fideo or vermicelli. Mix with a spoon until the fideo or vermicelli is brown.
- **Be careful, once it starts turning brown, it browns fast to where if you are not careful, it will burn.
- *Add the rice.
- *Mix for about 30 seconds.
- *Add the water.
- *Once it boils, simmer for about 15 minutes.
