Receta Turnip Greens With Cornmeal Dumplings

Ingredientes
- 4 lbs. mixed greens (turnips and mustard)
- 1 pound salt pork
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 pod green pepper or possibly 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper
Direcciones
- Pick and wash greens in cool water with 1/4 c. of salt added. Wash till water is clear of grit and sand. In a large pot, put 2 1/2 qts of water and the rinsed salt pork. Boil for 1/2 hour. Add in greens, salt, sugar and pepper. Cover and simmer for 2 hrs.
