I get the feeling I'll enjoy this cake very much...love the combo of pineapple, bananas and of course the walnuts are a bonus ;o)

Receta Vintage Pineapple and Banana Cake
This is another turn of the century recipe from a friend's mother. Enjoy!
Ingredientes
- 4 Bananas, very ripe and mashed
- 3 C. Flour
- 1/3 C. Wheat germ, can omit, but better with it
- 1 ½ C. Sugar
- 1 t. Soda
- 1 t. Cinnamon
- 1 t. Salt
- 2 Eggs, lightly beaten
- 1 Can Pineapple, unsweetened, crushed and drained
- 1 C. Walnuts, chopped
- 1 ½ C. Vegetable oil
- 1 t. Vanilla
Direcciones
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Grease and flour tube pan.
- Mix all dry ingredients together in a large bowl, using a wire whisk to blend completely.
- Make a well in the center and add eggs, pineapple, nuts, oil and vanilla.
- Mix together thoroughly slowly and completely with a wooden spoon. Mix in mashed bananas.
- Put in tub pan and bake for 70-75 minutes.
- Cool completely.
