  1. Cream together butter and sugar till light and fluffy. Add in egg, beat well. Blend in vanilla.
  2. Sift together flour, baking pwdr and baking soda. Add in dry ingredients alternately with lowfat milk, beating well after each addition. Stir in walnuts. Drop by tsp. about 2 inches apart on a greased baking sheet. Flatten with back of spoon.
  3. Bake at 375 degrees for 8-10 min or possibly till done. Remove from baking sheets. Cold on racks. Makes about 2 1/2 dozen.
  4. Other nuts can be substituted for black walnuts. Be careful not to burn these.
