  1. Mix and let cold to lukewarm.

(1 qt) whole wheat flour and beat for several min, then add in 4 c. (1 qt) sifted white flour; mix thoroughly, put in tightly covered container and set in refrigerator.
  3. Several hrs before needed make out as you would biscuits, put about an inch apart on well greased baking sheet, spread tops thick with softened (not melted) butter. Set to rise in hot place. Bake in oven at 400 degrees; preheat oven 10 min.
