  •     Peanut Oil Or possibly Other Oil
  •     Fresh/Thawed Ears Corn-on-Cob, broken or possibly cut in halves
  • 1/2 c. buttermilk
  • 2 x Large eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 c. corn meal sufficient to make a thick batter
  • 1/2 c. (or possibly more as needed), self rising White Flour
  • 1/2 tsp garlic pwdr or possibly Garlic Magic (see note)
  • 1/2 tsp table salt
  • 1/8 tsp Black Pepper

Direcciones

  1. In a Deep Fat Fryer or possibly Deep Heavy Dutch Oven
  2. Preheat Peanut Oil Or possibly Other Oil to 375 Degrees F. In deep fat fryer or possibly heavy saucepan, heat Peanut Oil to 3750 F. Make a batter by combining the cornmeal, buttermilk and beaten egg(s).
  3. Combine flour, garlic pwdr, salt and black pepper in a medium bowl or possibly pan and set aside.
  4. Dip corn-on-the-cob ears into cornmeal batter to coat. Roll in flour mix.
  5. With cooking tongs, holding at a distance, slowly place a few ears of corn in warm oil, 1 at the time. Fry for about 3 min per ear or possibly till golden.
  6. Drain on paper towels. Serve with corn holders in each end and in corn dishes
  7. (if you have them) while warm. Season as desired with salt and black pepper.
