I enjoy a large variety of vegetables in my garden. Then I have fun finding and making tasteful and colorful dishes with what I have available. My family appreciates my efforts which encourages me to continue. We all love to watch the Chef shows like Chopped and the various cooking shows. I have learned how to take a recipe and add or subtract to suite our tastes and likes and still have it come out tasting good. Since retirement I have a bit more time to experiment with cooking and will enjoy sharing with others.

I like sauces and pasta. French food is sooo good but can be a bit high in calaries. Italian food turns me on. I tend not to eat a lot of meats but like fish and chicken. Of all the foods of the world, my favorite is Japanese. I could eat it all day every day and still want more. I have an older Japanese cookbook in English and have made several dishes from it. I even fan my sticky rice as it tells me to.
I'm not much of a dessert eater but must make them for the rest of the family. I enjoy making and eating hors d'ouvres and my husband and I love to try new drinks.
