  • 1 lb grnd chicken breast, skinless
  • 1/2 c. onions minced
  • 1/2 c. bell peppers minced
  • 3 c. water
  • 15 ounce tomato sauce
  • 15 ounce stewed tomatoes undrained
  • 2 tsp chili pwdr
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 c. frzn mixed vegetables thawed
  • 1 c. alphabet pasta uncooked

Direcciones

  1. In a kettle, combine chicken, onions, and bell peppers. Cook over medium high heat, stirring occasionally, till chicken is no longer pink. Add in water, tomato sauce, stewed tomatoes, chili pwdr, salt, and black pepper. Continue cooking, stirring occasionally, till chili comes to a boil. Add in mixed vegetables and pasta. Reduce heat to medium low. Continue cooking, stirring often, till flavors are blended, 20 min.
  2. NOTES : You will not be able to find grnd chicken breast at your local supermarket because they do not sell it, unfortunately. I buy the regular boneless skinless chicken breasts and grind them with my own meat grinder. This works very well. If you do not want to use grnd chicken, use whatever meat you have on hand. I usually interchange turkey light meat and grnd chicken depending on what I have around.
  3. If you have problems finding the alphabet pasta in the ABC Vegetables No Chili at your local supermarket, you can substitute a pasta of your choice. If I'm low on one I use whatever I have on hand. The different pasta doesn't change the flavor.
