Acerca de mí
I am a retired high school teacher who developed an interest in cooking thanks to my Mom. I am not a fancy chef--just a home cook who enjoys making comfort foods that satisfy the tastes of my family. Prior to retirement I taught Honors American History, American Government and Contemporary World Events. I also serve as the Public Address announcer for most sporting events at the high school where I was employed and still read the names of seniors during the annual graduation exercises. I enjoy reading mysteries with John Sanford, Phillip Margolin, Barry Eisler and John Grisham being some of my favorite authors. I enjoy a wide variety of music and movies that are in the action/drama category. One of my favorite things to do is to cook lunch for my colleagues who are still active in the world of work. Thanks to the internet my recipe collection has grown signifigantly, but my favorite recipes are those that were passed on to me by my Mom.

I guess I am a semi-traditionalist...love the recipes of my mother and my grandmother...but not afraid to try new things....really enjoy comparing recipes and then adapting them to the family taste buds...
