Acerca de mí
I'm married to my soul mate (I know, it sounds corny, but it's true). I have a beautiful college-age daughter, and a beautiful teenage stepdaughter, both of whom seem to share at least some of my passion for cooking.
When my husband's residential building job was lost with the economic downhill spiral, he ended up finding a job in Asheville, NC. We moved to Asheville in August 2010, and it was one of the best moves we ever made. We LOVED it! Our heads were spinning with all the food diversity and brilliant chefs there.
We moved back to Atlanta (into our old house, since it was never sold!) in Feb 2013 after 3 wonderful years of adventure in Asheville, and now we're exploring the new restaurants and food scene that popped up here in our Atlanta suburb of Cumming while we were gone. I'm also SO GLAD to be back to my fabulous kitchen, and hope to be more diligent about posting my recipe finds here.
My hope for this blog is to shed well-deserved light on the Cumming/Atlanta food scene, as well as my own cooking adventures. I tend to take recipes, make them as directed one time, then tweak them to make them my own. However, in all cases, I give credit to the original recipe creator. I'm also the first to admit when a cook's/chef's recipe is perfect and, again in my humble opinion, shouldn't be changed.
Happy cooking and eating!
Influencias de Cocina
My Mom (God rest her soul) was the first influence on my love for cooking. She was an adventurous cook, which sparked my love of it and my willingness to challenge myself. The rest has come from other family members and friends in the cooking profession.
