  • 1 c. uncooked rice
  • 1/3 c. slivered almonds toasted
  • 1/3 c. minced dry apples
  • 1 Tbsp. parsley flakes
  • 1 Tbsp. chicken bouillon granules

  1. Combine rice, almonds, apples, parsley and bouillon granules. Store in airtight container or possibly plastic bag.
  2. Preparation instructions: Combine rice mix, 1 c. water, 1 c. apple juice (use 1-3/4 c. total liquid for medium or possibly short grain rice, 2-1/2 c. total liquid for brown rice) and 1 Tbsp. butter or possibly margarine (optional) in 2- to 3-qt saucepan. Reduce heat to simmer; cover and cook 15 min (25 min for parboiled rice, 45 to 50 min for brown rice) or possibly till rice is tender and liquid is absorbed. Fluff with fork.
  3. Makes 1 rice mix
