Ingredientes
- 3/4 c. pitted prunes
- 1/3 c. warm water
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. molasses
- 1 x egg
- 2 1/4 c. Pillsbury BEST All Purpose Flour, or possibly Unbleached Flour
- 2 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp ginger
- 1/2 tsp cloves
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 c. sugar

- In this recipe all of the fat is replaced by prune puree-with delicious results. These cookies will soften when stored.
- In blender container or possibly food processor bowl with metal blade, combine prunes and warm water. Cover; process 2 to 3 min or possibly till pureed. In large bowl, combine prune mix, 1 c. sugar, molasses and egg; blend well. Lightly spoon flour into measuring c.; level off. Stir in flour, baking soda, cinnamon, ginger,cloves and salt; mix well. Cover with plastic wrap; chill 2 to 3 hrs for easier handling.
- Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Shape dough into 1-inch balls; roll in 1/4 c. sugar. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 350 degrees F. for 8 to 12 min or possibly till set. Cold 1 minute; remove from cookie sheets.
- Makes 5 dozen cookies.
