Receta Apple Cheddar Nut Scones

Ingredientes
- 1 1/2 c. All-purpose flour
- 1/4 c. Margarine or possibly butter
- 1/2 tsp Baking pwdr
- 8 ounce Shredded Cheddar -- (2 C.)
- 1/2 tsp Baking soda
- 1/4 c. Unsalted sunflower nuts
- 1/4 tsp Salt
- 1/2 c. Motts Apple Sauce

- Heat oven to 400 F. In medium bowl, combine flour, baking pwdr, baking soda and salt. Using pastry blender or possibly fork, cut in margarine till mix is crumbly. Stir in cheese and nuts. Add in apple sauce; stir just till moistened. On floured surface, knead dough gently 5 or possibly 6 times. Place on ungreased cookie sheet; press into 8-inch circle, about 1/2 inch thick. Cut into wedges; separate slightly. Bake for 12 to 16 min or possibly till lightly browned. Serve hot. 8 to 12 servings. Good with chili.
