Receta Asparagus With Cheese Sauce

Ingredientes
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp dry mustard pwdr
- 1 1/2 c. chicken stock
- 1 c. grated sharp cheddar cheese salt and freshly grnd pepper
- 1 lb asparagus
- 4 x thick slices country-style bread
Direcciones
- Heat butter in a medium-sized saucepan, add in the flour and mustard and stir to combine. Cook about 3 min, stirring. Remove from heat and gradually whisk in chicken stock. Return to heat and bring to a boil, whisking. Reduce heat. Add in the cheese, stirring till it is melted. Check the seasoning and keep hot. Wash and trim asparagus and cook in simmering salted water. While the asparagus is cooking, toast the bread.
- Place a piece of toast on each of 4 warmed plats. Drain the asparagus, divide among plates and top with the cheese sauce.
- Serves 4
