Receta Banana Nut Waffles

Ingredientes
- 1 3/4 c. unbleached flour
- 1 T baking pwdr
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 c. wheat germ
- 2 large eggs, separated
- 1/4 c. oil
- 1 1/2 c. lowfat milk (approximately)
- 1 c. nuts (walnuts, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds or possibly mix)
- 1 ripe banana
- 3 T plain yogurt
Direcciones
- Sift flour, baking pwdr and salt into bowl. Add in wheat germ. Put together egg yolks and oil; gradually beat in lowfat milk. Add in to flour mix. In blender grind nuts and add in to mix. With fork mash banana and add in yogurt till creamy, then add in to mix. Beat egg whites till stiff and mix in. Add in additional lowfat milk if required for consistency. Bake in preheated and oiled waffle iron. For buttermilk waffles substitute 1/2 T soda for baking pwdr and use same amount of buttermilk as lowfat milk.
