Ingredientes
- 1 stick celery, cut into chunks
- 3 cloves, garlic peeled
- 2 onions, peeled and halved
- 2/3 cup bacon cut up
- 2 carrots peeled and cut into chunk
- s2 tbsp veg oil
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- pinch ground cloves
- 1/2 tsp ground allspice
- 500 g/1 lb hamburgersauce
- 1 400g (1 cup) chopped topmatoes
- 1 can/cup water
- 3 tbsp worcestershire sauce
- 3 tbsp bourbon
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- to serve6 rollsor
- 400 g tortilla chips
- freshly grated cheese
Direcciones
- to start: sauce, put the celery garlic, onions bacon and carrots into a food processor and process to a mush.
- Heat the oil in a pan or casserole with a lid and add the processed ingredients, cook for 15-20 min over a gentle heatm, stirring until soft
- While the veg are cooking, mix together the liquid ingredients and the 2 tbsp brown sugar in a seperate container
- Then stir 1 tbsp brown sugar along with the cloves and allspice into the veg pan. Now add the hamburger, breaking it up with a wooden fork as you mix it into the pan of veg, stirring until the meat begins to lose its raw color
- Pour the liquid ingredients and stir gently into the meat, Put the lid on and turn down the heat to low simmer for 25 min
- Serve on rolls as sloppy joes or with tortilla chips
