Receta Beef Stuffed Onions

Ingredientes
- 4 to 6 lg. onions
- 1/2 pound grnd beef
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 (8 ounce.) can tomato sauce
- 1 c. water
- 1/2 teaspoon sugar
- 1 tbsp. flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 c. soft bread crumbs
- 2 tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tbsp. butter, melted
Direcciones
- Peel onions. Cook in boiling salted water till tender, 25 to 35 min. Drain and cold. Remove centers; chop and reserve 1/2 c. of onion centers. Cook grnd beef with 1/2 tsp. salt till lightly browned. Stir in reserved minced onion. Stuff onion shells with grnd beef mix. Place in casserole. Combine tomato sauce, water, flour, sugar, and 1/4 tsp. salt. Pour over onions. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 min. Combine bread crumbs, cheese and melted butter. Sprinkle over onions. Bake and additional 15 to 20 min.
