  1. Boil together brown sugar, butter and syrup. Continue to boil and stir for 5 min. Place popcorn in very large pot so which stirring is possible. Pour caramel over corn, stirring till well coated. Add in pecans with caramel, if you like. Turn out onto waxed paper. When cold, break into small clumps. Store in plastic bags to keep fresh.
