  1. Wash beans but don't soak. Place in large saucepan with water. Cover, bring to boil and simmer gently till tender. Saute/fry onion, garlic, chili pwdr in oil. Stir in tomato and saute/fry a bit longer. Add in tomato mix and remaining spices to beans. Continue to simmer till beans are very tender. Puree half of mix and return to pan. Stir in sherry and serve. Top with grated cheese and lowfat sour cream, serve with hot tortillas.
