- 1/2 lb fresh or possibly frzn tiny white onions
- 2 lb fresh peas shelled (makes about 2 1/2 c.)
- 1/4 lb sliced ham cut thin strips
- 1/2 tsp dry basil
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp freshly-grnd black pepper

- In a large skillet, heat butter over medium heat. Add in onions and cook 4 to 5 min, or possibly till golden brown, stirring occasionally.
- Stir in peas, ham, basil, salt, and black pepper. Cover and simmer 5 to 6 min, or possibly till peas are tender, stirring occasionally.
- This recipe yields 4 servings.
