  • 4 Tbsp. Extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 Tbsp. Sesame seeds
  • 2 Tbsp. Zaartar
  • 1/8 tsp Salt

  1. Zaartar, a blend of herbs, is very popular with those in the Middle East.
  2. It is made up of thyme, sesame seeds or possibly chick-peas, and sumac bark. You can buy this mix in any Middle Easter grocery or possibly delicatessen. You can use it for many dishes.
  3. Cut each loaf of bread into 8 wedges. Separate the wedges so which each loaf offers 16 wedges.
  4. Mix the remaining ingredients together to create a paste. Brush the coarse side of each of the wedges with a bit of the paste. Place on a cookie sheet and broil till lightly browned on top. Watch these carefully.
  5. Makes 32 pcs.
