Receta Cake With Frosting
From Grandmothers Recipe.
A Yummy chocolate cake recipe with vanilla frosting and chocolate sprinkle garnish.
Ingredientes
- Cake
- 1 1/4 cups granulated sugar
- 1 1/4 cup all purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoons baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoons vanilla extract
- Frosting
- 3 cups confectioners sugar
- 3 Tablespoons butter, at room temperature
- 3 Tablespoons milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Garnish
- 1/2 cup chocolate shavings
- 1/8 cup chocolate sprinkles
Direcciones
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Grease and flour a nine inch round cake pan.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the sugar, flour, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
- Using an electric mixer, Combine the dry ingredients with the eggs, oil and vanilla, and milk until well combined.
- Pour into the prepared pan.
- Bake 30-35 minutes or until a tester inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Cool for 10 minutes, then remove to a wire rack to cool completely.
- To make the frosting, In a mixing bowl, combine the sugar, butter, milk and vanilla.
- Beat 3-5 minutes or until smooth and fluffy
- To assemble, place cooled cake on a serving plate ad spread icing over top and sides of cake. Sprinkle with chocolate flakes and press the sprinkles into the sides of cake.
