Receta Chateau Blanche Onion Soup

Ingredientes
- 10 x White Castle(r) hamburgers
- 4 Tbsp. (1/2 stick) of butter or possibly margarine
- 4 lrg onions, peeled, halved, and thinly sliced
- 1/2 tsp sugar
- 14 1/2 ounce cans of beef broth
- 1 c. grated Swiss or possibly Gruyere cheese
- 1/4 c. grated parmesan cheese
Direcciones
- Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Separate burgers, removing pickles. Dice burgers and onions very fine. Cook butter, onions, sugar and diced burger/onion mix in a large soup pot over a medium heat, stirring frequently, till onions are soft-about 15 min. Add in beef broth and simmer for approximately 10 min. While soup is simmering, place remaining hamburger buns on baking sheet and place in oven till well toasted. Once toasted, place half of a bun in the bottom of oven-proof soup bowls or possibly ramekins. Ladle warm soup into bowls till half full. Top each with half of hamburger bun. Sprinkle top of each bowl with mix of cheeses used. Place on baking sheet and bake for 10 min, or possibly till cheese is lightly browned and melted.
