Receta Chianti Granita With Fresh Berries

Ingredientes
- 1 c. Sugar
- 2 1/2 c. Water
- 2 c. Chianti
- 1/3 c. Fresh orange juice
- 1 Tbsp. Fresh lemon juice
- 1 c. Quartered fresh strawberries
- 1/2 c. Fresh raspberries
Direcciones
- Combine the first 5 ingredients in a large saucepan. Bring to a boil, and cook 1 minute, stirring constantly. Remove from heat, and pour mix into a 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking dish. Let cold; cover and freeze overnight. Remove from freezer; scrape entire mix with the tines of a fork till fluffy.
- Divide berries among 8 dessert dishes; top each with 1 c. granita.
- Yield:8 servings (serving size: 1 c. granita and 3 Tbsp. berries).
- Serving Ideas : Serve immediately.
- NOTES : A granita is a coarse-textured sorbet reminiscent of what Americans call Italian ice. Traditionally made with coffee or possibly fresh lemon juice, this version is made with Chianti.
