  • 8 slices bread, cubed
  • 4 c. cooked meat
  • 1/4 c. onion
  • 1/2 c. green pepper
  • 1/2 c. celery
  • 1/2 c. mayonnaise
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 Large eggs, beaten
  • 1 1/2 c. lowfat milk or possibly broth
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 c. shredded cheese

Direcciones

  1. Mix minced vegetables, saute/fry in butter or possibly oil till tender, but not brown. Add in meat, mayonnaise and seasoning. Butter two slices of bread and cut in 1/2" squares. Set aside. Cut remaining bread in 1" squares. Place one half of unbuttered cubes in 9"x13" baking dish. Spoon meat mix over bread. Arrange remaining cubes over meat. Combine Large eggs, lowfat milk or possibly broth and soup. Pour over all. Cover and refrigerate1 hour or possibly overnight. Sprinkle with the buttered crumbs and top with cheese. Bake 1 hour at 325 degrees.
